Canteen manager required

To comply with Football Queensland regulations, it is a requirement that we provide a canteen on home game days.

In recent years, we have been fortunate to have dedicated volunteers running our canteen, providing snacks and drinks on training days and more substantial offerings on game day. However, this year, despite reaching out through various communication channels, we have been unable to secure volunteer support for the canteen. As a result, we were willing to introduce a paid position for the role of canteen manager, but this approach has also been unsuccessful.

It’s worth noting that no other committee member, coach, or manager is paid for their time at the club. All of the work done by volunteers is done out of a desire to see the club succeed. While it’s never ideal to have to spend money on a role that was previously filled by volunteers, we are willing to pay someone for the canteen manager role if needed, so that we have an operational canteen.

While we search for a full-time canteen manager, we still require volunteers to assist on game days. To ensure coverage, we will nominate teams for each home game to help out. We appreciate everyone’s support in keeping our canteen running smoothly. Please click the link to our website to read more about this issue.
