Carolyn’s journey with BTFC
For more than six years, Carolyn has been with the club. Her journey began when her boys joined the club as Under 5 players, and from that moment, she knew she had found the perfect fit.

Throughout her time with BTFC, Carolyn has formed meaningful connections with fellow members and has witnessed the growth and development of her boys both on and off the field. The club has provided a nurturing environment for them to learn and thrive, and Carolyn couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities they have had.

Carolyn’s role at BTFC
Carolyn plays an important role in supporting the club through her employer, Zakazukha—a sponsor of the club. Carolyn brings her expertise in marketing and design to benefit BTFC.

With a deep understanding of the club’s values and goals, Carolyn works closely with the BTFC committee to provide marketing support. Through her Zakazukha, she assists in developing and implementing the BTFC newsletter, designing promotional materials, and enhancing the club’s website.

Carolyn’s passion for both football and marketing allows her to bring a unique perspective to her role at BTFC. Her commitment to supporting the club’s growth and success is evident in her tireless efforts to elevate BTFC’s brand identity and strengthen its position as a leading football club.

What sets BTFC apart from other clubs
Carolyn believes BTFC is very lucky due to the incredible people who make up our community, the unwavering dedication of our committee members, and the beautiful surroundings that our kids get to train and play on.

BTFC is more than just a football club. It is a tight-knit community of individuals who share a common passion for football and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all players and families. Our committee members work tirelessly behind the scenes, volunteering their time and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of the club and the fulfillment of our mission.

It is the people of BTFC that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where players and families feel like they belong. From the coaches and team managers who inspire and mentor our young athletes, to the parents and supporters who cheer them on from the sidelines.

But it’s not just the people that make BTFC special. The beautiful surrounds of our club provide a stunning backdrop for training sessions and matches, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for our players. Whether it’s the lush green fields, or the refreshing breeze from the nearby coastline, our surroundings enhance the overall football experience at BTFC.

Proudest moment with the club
Carolyn’s proudest moment with the club is simply knowing that her children have had the opportunity to play for BTFC and have had such a positive and enriching experience.

Watching her kids grow and develop both on and off the field through their involvement with BTFC has been wonderful. Seeing them develop their skills, build friendships, and embrace the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination is truly rewarding.

But it’s not just about her own children. It’s about the entire BTFC community and the collective achievements and positive experiences that we create together. Witnessing the growth and success of all the players, seeing them overcome challenges, and celebrating their victories is a source of pride for all of us involved with the club.

BTFC has provided a platform for many children to develop their love for the game, to grow as individuals, and to forge lifelong friendships.

Carolyn’s message to club members and players
Carolyn’s message to club members and players is a passionate call for support and active involvement in the club’s operations and activities.

“We need more volunteers. Year after year, we see the same dedicated individuals stepping up to fulfill various roles and responsibilities. They tirelessly give their time and energy to ensure that our club thrives and provides the best experience for our players.”

Carolyn stresses the need for a collective effort from all members, urging everyone to step up and contribute in any way they can. She acknowledges that the club often receives complaints from disgruntled parents, but reminds everyone that it is the same parents who may not actively participate in the club’s activities.

“It’s disheartening to receive complaints from parents who express their dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the club. Yet, it’s crucial to recognise that for our club to thrive, it requires the commitment and involvement of each and every one of us. It’s not enough to simply voice concerns; we must also be willing to contribute our time and effort.”

Carolyn encourages parents and players to reflect on their own level of engagement and to recognise the impact of their actions on the club’s overall success.

“We are a community, bound by a shared love for the game and a desire to see our club prosper. If you want to see our club continue to thrive and provide exceptional opportunities for our players, we must all do our part. It’s not just about attending matches and training sessions; it’s about actively participating and supporting the club.”

She highlights the importance of punctuality, teamwork, and the willingness to assist with tasks such as equipment management and organisation.

“Showing up on time to training, assisting with putting away equipment, assisting in the canteen and lending a helping hand whenever needed may seem like small acts, but they make a significant difference. Together, these actions contribute to the smooth running of our club and create a positive environment for all involved.”

Carolyn’s message serves as a reminder that the success of the club depends on the collective effort of its members. By actively participating and taking on volunteer roles, each person can contribute to the growth and prosperity of the club, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same positive experiences and opportunities.

Final thoughts
In her final thoughts, Carolyn expresses her heartfelt gratitude and sadness regarding Jody and Sam’s departure from their leadership roles within the club. She acknowledges the immense contributions they have made and recognises the pivotal role they have played in shaping BTFC into what it is today.

“It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to Jody and Sam, as they step down from their positions of leadership within our club next season. Their dedication and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in shaping BTFC into the thriving community it is today.”

Carolyn highlights the tireless efforts put in by Jody and Sam, going above and beyond their responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the club—the countless hours they have spent at the club, often outside of regular hours, taking care of various tasks and responsibilities.

“I have witnessed firsthand the countless hours Jody and Sam have dedicated to our club. It is not uncommon to see them at the club after hours or on weekends, tirelessly working on improving our facilities, maintaining the fields, ensuring the canteen runs smoothly, and organising committee members and their roles. They have been the driving force behind resolving issues both on and off the field, always putting the best interests of our club and its members first.”

In her closing remarks, Carolyn encourages the BTFC community to reflect on the significant contributions of Jody and Sam and to appreciate the legacy they leave behind.

“Let us honour Jody and Sam by continuing to work together, supporting one another, and striving to make BTFC the best it can be. Their impact will be felt for years to come, and their efforts will continue to shape the future of our club.”
